Young Living’s Aroma Life is an excellent blend to use for the cardiovascular and circulatory systems.  This helps because it provides nervous system support during times of stress.  Best use is to massage the oil over the heart, the left side of your chest.  It may also help to apply it along your spine. Inhaling is another way to use the oil.  This oil blend is very helpful and has many uses.

Add to this regiment exercise and a eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  And you are on the path to controlling your stress which in turn can only be a great help to your blood pressure.  Just keep in mind that when you are making your plate that it should have ½ of it filled with fruits and vegetables.

Gratitude is Connected to Abundance

Being grateful and remaining in a state of gratitude is a skill that many people may not realize is the key to abundance.  The fact is that when you focus on the things that you are grateful for, including the challenges that you may be facing, it opens you to receive positive things.  Gratitude is the key.  When our focus is on the negative we only succeed in bringing more of those into our lives.  Being mindful and grateful takes intention and discipline.

We’ve all heard ‘like attracts like’ and so know this it is even more important that we make it a point to show our gratitude for all that we are experiencing because in everything there is a lesson.  Choosing to be grateful will bring you rewards and change your attitude as well as those around you.  Try it yourself spend 30 days being grateful.  Start a Gratitude Journal and let the first thing you do each day and the last thing you do each night be to write what you are grateful for in the journal.

Gratitude will bring Abundance to you in so many ways.  It opens you up to being receptive to what will come to you.  By opening your heart to receive you will be amazed what comes your way.  Today I am grateful to life’s lessons that the universe has and continues to give me.  What are you grateful for today?

Dill and Diabetes

This is a word that for many brings a sense of fear.  I remember when I first had to learn to test my blood and give myself my first shot.

I was lying in the hospital after a stroke due to my blood sugar being out of control.  The specialist walked me through the process then handed me the saline filled syringe.  I remember aiming the needle then closing my eyes before pushing it into my thigh.  She chastised me for closing my eyes.

My response was I have a visually impaired friend who gives himself shots everyday so why not?  She just shook her head.

Later a friend told me that giving myself the shots would not be the hard part, it would be the testing of my blood because I would have an internal discussion or rather argument every time.  He was right.  It would go like this:

"Push the button."
"I don't want to push the button."
"Push the button."
"It will hurt."
“Just push the button.”

Eventually I would push the button, and yes it hurt.  Now 8 months later it is easier, at times I still have a shorter version of the same discussion in my head.

This is a great intro to the first essential oil to be in the spotlight - Dill.

Dill is a remarkable oil that can be useful in maintaining your health.  Dill is useful in maintaining a healthy blood sugar level.

When looking for a way to help manage my diabetes and my blood sugar I chose Dill because it supports the pancreas.  Dill was easy to use all I needed to do was apply dill inside my cheek.  The added bonus is that it is much easier than trying to carry a dill pickle around in my purse.
