Stock Your Kitchen with Young Living

The kitchen is one of my favorite places to use my essential oils.  Depending on if you are baking or cooking there are different oils that can enhance your foods.

Savory Oils:  Basil      Oregano          Rosemary        Thyme                         Sage                Dill                                           Coriander                    Marjoram                   Black Pepper

Baking Oils:    Cinnamon Bark           Clove               Ginger             Nutmeg           Peppermint

Citrus Oils:      Grapefruit                   Lemon             Orange            Tangerine        Lime              Citrus Fresh

Other Oils:       Lavender             Spearmint                   Slique Essence             Lemongrass

Here are a few tips when using essential oils:
  • Zest from a citrus fruit  can be replaced with 10 – 15 drops of EO
  • 1 Tablespoon of a savory spice is equal to ½ to 1 drop of EO
  • Less than 1 teaspoon dip a toothpick in the oil and swirl it in the recipe.
Remember to add the oils at the end stage of the cooking to save the true essence of the oil.
The only thing that can limit you is your own imagination.  Just remember that essential oils are more potent than fresh herbs.

Why Raindrop

There are many reasons to experience a Raindrop Therapy Treatment; the benefits are unique because the Raindrop will stimulate all of the body systems on a physical and emotional level.  The treatment combines several holistic modalities including energy work and Reiki all of which bring balance to the body.  There is the added benefit in the therapeutic effects of touch as well because it promotes all aspects of wellness.

These oils from Young Living have a profound intelligence and they go exactly where they are needed.  They can immediately penetrate cell membranes and disperse throughout the blood and tissues in a matter of seconds.  They have the ability to cross the brain-blood barrier and affect the limbic system (Amygdale) of the brain that controls our mood, behavior and emotions.   Then there is the added benefit that the oils used in the Raindrop will flush out toxins from the body as well as kill dormant viruses and bacteria along the spine which in turns supports the entire system.

Here are just a few of the benefits that are derived from the experience of a Raindrop Treatment:
v  Reduces pain due to the analgesic ingredients in the essential oils, a great benefit to chronic pain sufferers.
v  Relieves stress, reduces anxiety and tension as well as supporting emotional well-being since the oils normalize the nervous system.
v  Relaxes muscles that are sore, spastic or stressed.  Several of the essential oils help with common muscle conditions.
v  Reduces inflammation due to the anti-inflammatory properties.
v  Improves circulation by boosting the circulation due to the oxygenating properties.
v  Detox the body systems due to the high phenols they cleanse the cellular receptor sites and enhance the lymphatic system.
v  Improves and supports the immune system function by creating an environment that is harmful for viruses and bacteria that have an ability to hibernate and lay dormant in the body.
The benefit from a Raindrop Treatment can last anywhere from a week to several months depending on the person and their personal level of health.

Young Living’s Aroma Life is an excellent blend to use for the cardiovascular and circulatory systems.  This helps because it provides nervous system support during times of stress.  Best use is to massage the oil over the heart, the left side of your chest.  It may also help to apply it along your spine. Inhaling is another way to use the oil.  This oil blend is very helpful and has many uses.

Add to this regiment exercise and a eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  And you are on the path to controlling your stress which in turn can only be a great help to your blood pressure.  Just keep in mind that when you are making your plate that it should have ½ of it filled with fruits and vegetables.
